Summer continues in Montpellier ☀️
The month of August is in full swing at the Alliance Française de Montpellier: our students enjoy the last weeks of summer between morning classes, swimming in the Mediterranean and evenings on the terrace.
And while summer is being savoured, the start of the school year is being prepared!
From September 7th, our preparation courses for French exams resume: DELF B1, DELF B2, DALF C1 and TCF IRN. Four weeks to approach the test methodically, in small groups and with the support of our teachers.
Whether you are passing through for a language course or living in Montpellier, there is a place for you in our classes.
Prepare for your DELF or DALF exam in September 🎓
The next preparation sessions for the DELF/DALF exams will start on September 7, 2026. The corresponding exams will take place in October at the certifying bodies of Montpellier.
For 4 weeks, you will benefit from:
- Intensive group training
- Mock exams
- A methodology adapted to the tests
- Personalized support from our teachers
Face-to-face and small group preparation allows you to progress efficiently and approach the exam with confidence.

TCF IRN: naturalisation & resident 🇫🇷 card
The TCF IRN is the official test required for an application for a French resident or naturalization card. It is a short test, but very codified: it is better to know the format before taking it.
Our preparation course has been designed exactly for this, and it is primarily aimed at people who live and work in Montpellier – the schedules are designed for the after-work period.
The format:
- 4 weeks of preparation, 4 hours per week
- Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
- Face-to-face at school (17 rue Marceau) or online
- Groups of 4 to 15 participants
- The 4 skills worked on: oral and written comprehension, oral and written expression
- Sample Topics, Practical Exercises and Mock Exams
- Required level: B1 minimum
🗓️ Good to know: AF Montpellier is also an approved examination centre. You can prepare and take your test with us — TCF IRN (€185), TCF Tout Public, TCF Québec, TCF Canada and the Civic Exam (€75).

At the Alliance Française de Montpellier, learning French does not stop in the classroom. Every week, our cultural and sporting agenda allows you to practice in a different way, on the water, at the table, or in the alleys of the Écusson.
