Description of the exam
The TCF Canada is a language level test that assesses your skills from level A1 to level C2 of the CEFR. The Canada format requires the passing of all four tests: no test is optional for the file to be admissible by the Canadian authorities.
Validity: The certificate is valid for 2 years from the date of examination.
Audience: Any foreign person wishing to immigrate to Canada (outside the province of Quebec).

Time to results: Thanks to the digital format, your final results are available within 2 weeks.
Importance of the score: Each higher level achieved in the tests can significantly increase your points in your immigration record.
Conduct of the tests
- Listening comprehension: 39 questions (35 minutes)
- Reading comprehension: 39 questions (60 minutes)
- Written expression: 3 exercises of progressive difficulty (60 minutes)
- Oral expression: 3 tasks during a one-on-one interview with an examiner (12 minutes)
